Justin Bieber’s new album with his breakup song “Nothing Like Us” is already the No. 1 downloaded album on iTunes.

Justin Bieber is taking a page from Taylor Swift’s breakup song book. The 18-year-old’s new song “Nothing Like Us” is about his split with Selena Gomez and their two-year relationship, according to the Huffington Post:

“Lately I’ve been thinking, thinking about what we had / And I know it was hard, it was all that we knew, yeah / Have you been drinking, to take all the pain away?”

In an interview with Billboard magazine, Bieber opened up about his breakup with the 20-year-old singer and actress: “I’m not in the happiest place that I’ve ever been. I’m trying to get through what I’m going through.  Like I said, I have my really close friends to cheer me up and keep me going.”

Gomez had her own “tell-the-world-how-I’m-feeling-post-split” moment earlier this month when she sang covers of Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River” and her friend Taylor Swift’s song “I Knew You Were Trouble” at a UNICEF concert.  Bieber separately covered Timberlake’s 2002 breakup song at a concert in Boston after he and Gomez first split up back in November, according to the Huffington Post.

So, will Bieber’s new song be the next chart topper?  Well, his new album “Believe Acoustic,” which contains eight re-worked tracks from his platinum-selling 2012 album “Believe,” and an additional three new songs including “Nothing Like Us,” will debut on the Billboard 200 at No. 1, according to Billboard.  It will be his fourth album in the last four years to hit No. 1, and his fifth No. 1 album overall.
