Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old honor student who performed with her high school drum corps in Obama’s inauguration parade, was shot and killed Tuesday in Chicago. People across the world — from lawmakers to celebrities to those who know her — turned to Twitter to share their grief at her passing and their anger at another life felled by gun violence. Many used #HadiyaPendleton or #NowIsTheTime (the hashtag started by the White House to help address gun violence) to share their feelings about the event.
