The Lincoln Town Car has been the ubiquitous mode of executive transportation for the past couple of decades. But it’s old, stuffy and boxy — your dad’s boss’s car. So Lincoln is rebranding, hoping to replace the Town Car as its flagship vehicle with the sleek, curvy MKZ. But the phoenix-rising symbolism might be a bit off — the Town Car isn’t disrespected or forgotten by any means (just take a look at the streets of Manhattan on any given day), and nobody wants to think of a car as burning into a pile of ashes. But still, bonus points for the Abe Lincoln top-hat cameo.
