A motorist trying to make an apparently simple maneuver ended up creating a scene of utter chaos in a narrow Naples street, according to a viral video recently posted by the Guardian. The driver of a small white Fiat attempted to make a three-point turn but quickly became completely stuck — bringing an increasingly bizarre series of road users to a standstill. Cars began to arrive from both directions, followed by a group of motorbikes. As people laughed and filmed the event from surrounding balconies, the tailback grew even longer; eventually a church procession appeared. Finally, after much arm-waving and shouting — and, for his mortified female companion, what must have been the longest nine minutes of her life — the driver eventually managed to complete the turn and continued on his way, to a round of applause and chants of “Bravo!”
