Yes, it could have turned out to be a very unwise decision, but fortunately for Jimmy Kimmel, it was just a hatchet-wielding homeless man. Oh wait, we forgot to mention he’s harmless. Joining Kimmel earlier this week was Kai, the now-famous hitchhiking “hero” (though he quickly shuns that title) who leapt into our viral-loving hearts earlier this month with a well-timed “smash, smash, smash!” comment on a local news channel. Kai, who helped save two bystanders after the man he was hitching a ride with intentionally crashed his car, explains his homeless situation — and why he really sees it as homefree.
