You know the old Reese’s Peanut Butter cup slogan about two great tastes that taste great together? Well this mashup of Carly Rae Jepsen’s incredibly catchy hit “Call Me Maybe” with Nine Inch Nails’ industrial-rock classic “Head Like A Hole” is like finding out that sardines and Snickers are delicious together (we haven’t tried it yet, but if you do let us know).
The odd yet irresistably catchy coupling occurred when a Reddit user asked someone — anyone — on the internet to combine Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor’s tortured vocals with the perky instrumentals of Jepsen’s hit. When you ask the internet for such a thing, in the words of Reznor, you’re going to get what you deserve. The results are simultaneously perfect and sure to annoy both fanbases. Good job, internet! Now NIN fans can only hope for a live performance when Reznor hits the road this summer.
