The house of one of television’s most famous entertainers is for sale, and it’s not your average celebrity property. The 23,000-square foot concrete-and-glass property belonged to the late comedian Bob Hope, who passed away 10 years ago at the age of 100.

Hope’s daughter, Linda, putting the six-bedroom, 10-bathroom, three half-bathroom house up for sale at $50 million, the Los Angeles Times reports. The futuristic mansion was originally designed by famed modern architect John Lautner and completed in 1980.  Lautner is rumored to have distanced himself from the project after Hope’s wife Dolores hired an interior designer who changed around some minor details, though none significantly altered Lautner’s original plans.

Situated in Southridge, Calif., overlooking the Coachella Valley and the San Jacinto mountains, the house includes a putting green, tennis court, a pond and two pools. The volcano-inspired home is also designed with an open-air concave, or enclosed courtyard, giving it a futuristic feel.

The Palm Springs house was considered a second home to the Hope family, who is known to own a variety of real estate properties throughout California; its next owner will be among the few to see inside the spaceship-like wonderland.

Hope is celebrated as one of America’s quintessential entertainers, recognized not only for his singing, acting and dancing abilities, but also for his commitment to the United Service Organizations (USO) in performing for the military. He hosted the Academy Awards fourteen times and holds the Guinness World Record as the most honored entertainer in history.

An earlier version of this article said that home’s blueprints perished in a fire. They did not. It also said that one pool is in the shape of Bob Hope’s profile. This is merely a rumor, according to the agency managing the property.
