President Barack Obama’s White House knows how to make the internet pay attention: cute puppies. That’s why when the First Family set about promoting the 135th annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Apr. 1, they made good use of First Dog Bo by sending him out to hunt for Easter eggs on the White House’s South Lawn.

In the video, the Portuguese Water Dog takes to the hunt with ease, tracking down the colorful eggs wherever they are hidden and then dutifully sitting next to his prizes. While the video might be a bit staged, there’s no arguing that Bo makes an excellent spokesdog for the annual event, which more than 35,000 people are planning to attend.

Bo is almost as cute as Robbie Novak, the adorable 9-year-old star of YouTube show Kid President, who teamed up with President Obama to announce the Easter Egg Roll back in February.
