That's how it got it's name Flori-DUH.  Exactly how is that fair?  So I

Florida is a romantic Spanish word for Easter. Easter promises new life and it is indeed an extraordinary state in the union. Since it is now in the United States completely separated from Spain, it enjoys the luxury of America as opposed to the austerity now crushes Spain.

I think the word "discovery' is incorrect to use, as Native Americans were already living in Florida.  I suggest a more appropriate word is "European invasion" or "European colonization"
