If you haven’t caught the White House’s April Fool’s video by now, which featured adorable 9-year-old Randy Novak — a.k.a. YouTube star “Kid President” — here’s a chance to see him come face-to-face with the Commander in Chief himself.

The two have some history together — President Obama teamed up with Kid President to promote the annual White House Easter Egg Roll in February — but hadn’t met face to face.

On Thursday the White House released a video of Kid President and grown-up President discussing the very important issue of how kids and adults can work together, while Obama gave Novak a small tour of the Oval Office. Novak even got to pick up the phone at the big desk, while Obama warned him jokingly not to cause an international incident.

In a particularly heart-warming moment, Novak asks the president to explain a telegraph. “Before there were phones, before there was the Internet, before there was YouTube, a telegraph is what you used to communicate from far away,” Obama replied. How’s that for a history lesson?
