‘Reasons My Son Is Crying’ Tumblr Is Taking Over the Internet

You'll probably find a GPOY somewhere on this Tumblr.

Reasonsmysoniscrying.tumblr.com is less than a week old, but it’s already dominating our social media feeds. The Tumblr is basically a photo gallery of a cherubic, Macaulay Culkin-esque tyke in tears — reminding us of how we really feel most Mondays and how even the most trivial things can totally set us off. According to Mashable, the site first popped up on Reddit over the weekend and had risen to the front page late Sunday.

Now when a new parent or babysitter searches online for the cause of their kid’s spontaneous tears, this site will have them nodding their heads and feeling a little bit better that other peoples’ babies also cry because they “broke the cheese in half.”

I never heard of it, and if I ain't never heard of it til now, it ain't taking over the Internet.  Just another meme for someone's 15 seconds of fame.

Why is this hilarious? Each time the child cries, he whips out his camera instead of "communicating" with the child. His automatic response is to think of a caption for his next post instead of soothing his child.

I have been documenting my kids tantrums for a long time now. On Instagram (punkrockmom) with the #toddlerproblems. There are pictures of my kid crying over not being able to take her snowman home and other ridiculous things. I even blogged about this photo project (Punk Rock Parents . net - January 2013) I found that there was an upside to this project. Eventually my kid started to hate when the camera phone came out. As soon as I reached for my camera the waterworks stopped. The number of tantrums we are seeing has drastically decreased.

Every woman on Earth should have to read this before she decides to have children. "There but for the grace of god..."
