Are you just a tad immature? Kmart’s latest commercial will have you shipping your pants with laughter.

Kmart will send items directly to shoppers’ homes for free if they can’t find what they need in the store. In other words: shoppers can very easily ship their pants, ship their drawers or even ship their beds. (See what they did there?)

In the past few days, the buzzy video has racked up millions of views on YouTube and thousands of likes and shares on Facebook. Though it seems to be getting plenty of positive reactions for its funny, lighthearted approach, the spot has also faced some disapproval. Since it’s just a little bit juvenile and inappropriate.

Either way, the ad has stirred up plenty of chatter across the web, drawing lots of attention to the Kmart name — one that market analysts say has lost its relevance over the years. Realistically, though, it doesn’t seem likely that this newfound viral fame will be enough to significantly boost sales and lift Kmart out of its doldrums. For now, let’s just take a moment to appreciate this silly ad. You might not really ship your pants, but you’ll at least crack a smile.

I think it's brilliant. It puts Kmart back on the map so to speak. I know that, for me at least, it's the first time that I even thought about Kmart in a long time. And, I don't understand why people are so offended. They are very clearly saying "ship". So, anyone who is turning that in to something else is doing so themselves. It is only offensive because their minds are dirty and are relating the word to a more vulgar word. p.s. If you want dirty, I found a great parody of this ad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtbbwzXEh0A

WOW!  This is one of the best commercials I've ever seen.  I'm totally surprised by the creativity K-Mart has put forth in this campaign.  I support this 110%.  I think it's ok for us to all sneak a laugh in every once in a while.  I also think those people that think it's offensive because of K-Mart being a family store and crap like that...I say family values start at home.  TV went south a long time ago.  Roll with it and laugh...anyone that says they don't think this ad is gut busting funny, is a big ol liar!  LOL

I think this is offensive. Kmart is suppose to be a family store. I am very disappointed with this department store chain. I think this commercial should be pulled. Terrible taste in advertising

@CrystalKinney Don't be such a ca-ca pants. I think it's hysterical. But I've always had the sense of humor of a 12-year-old boy. It keeps me young. (I'm a 50+ y.o. female.)

I never thought about purchasing anything from Kmart online - as a matter of fact it never even crossed my mind that they had an online store.  The fact that you can shop for free (who does that?) is definitely a plus. For everyone who's talking about going in to a store...I don't think that's what they are looking for here!

I'm going to KMart at lunch just to buy something to show my support for the ad.  I hope they don't have it in  stock so I can get it shipped.  They should extend the idea and include the catch-phrase "Get your SHIP at KMart..."

Or "SHIP happens... at KMart" as suggested by a co-worker...

It made me laugh, and in a world where there's often not much to laugh about then that's got to be a good thing.

And after this initial wave of exposure dies, K-Mart will go back to being the irrelevant player in the market that they are.  Instead of wasting time and advertising dollars on a juvenile campaign, maybe K-Mart should take a closer look at why they lag so far behind Wal-Mart and Target.
