President Barack Obama is speaking today at “Healing Our City,” an interfaith service at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston, Mass., honoring the three killed and more than 170 injured when bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday afternoon. “We send our support and encouragement to people who never expected that they’d need it — the wounded civilians who are just beginning what will be, I’m sure for some of them, a long road to recovery,” Obama said Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. The President and First Lady Michelle Obama plan to meet with some of the injured and the first responders during their Boston visit, White House spokesperson Josh Earnest told the Associated Press.
