Even though efforts to enact gun control legislation have stalled in Washington, that doesn’t mean its supporters are putting up their hands. Take, for example, this ad, produced by the group States United to Prevent Gun Violence.

(EARLIER: Senate Guns Down Background Checks)

In the ad, an upset-looking man — presumably a former employee —  storms into an office with a rifle and draws a bead on his boss. What happens next makes this what may be, in the words of BuzzFeed, “the best gun control ad ever produced.”

The video’s description and YouTube page asks viewers to sign a petition on supgv.org that would urge members of congress to act on gun violence prevention, reported The Sacramento Bee.

According to PR Newswire, SUPGV works to support state-based organizations against gun violence.

So, the people who made this ad would like us to believe that gun laws have not changed since flintlock days? Apparently they are counting on us being so ignorant and uninformed that we have not heard of the National Firearms Act of 1934, the Gun Control Act of 1968, the 1986 full auto manufacturing ban, the 1993 Brady Law, the failed 1994 "Assault Weapons" ban, plus thousands of state and local laws restricting every aspect of firearm ownership and firearm carry.

If the best they can do is hope the public is stupid and easily misled, then I guess proponents of additional gun control laws don't have much of an argument to present.

This is a pro carry video, if someone was carrying in the office they could have stopped that crazy nut. Besides name one law that would have stopped him, don't forget a gun built before 1899 isn't considered a firearm under the law.

Whoa! Brilliant! Of course, there will be a few blockheads who don't get it.

This is the most ridiculous, stupid thing i've ever seen.

@Garzhad Translation: "Durrrrrr, this makes a valid point, but it doesn't make the point I want it to, so I'm just going to call it stupid, lacking the ability to form a coherent argument like an adult!"

So this is an example of what a law abiding citizen would have if he decided to go on a shooting rampage? Great, now if we can get criminals to follow the same pesky laws...

You obviously haven't heard about the senseless killing of children in Newtown. I'd say that was slightly more ridiculous and stupid.
