The group of five living U.S. presidents–dubbed The World’s Most Exclusive Club–has now been superceded by the group of two living U.S. presidents who have verified public Twitter accounts. Joining @BarackObama@billclinton (all lower-case) sent out his first message into the Twitterverse just 2 days ago. And he already has half a million followers.

Earlier this month, comedian Stephen Colbert had Clinton on his show for the first time and took the liberty of thumbing Clinton’s first-ever tweet under the handle, @PrezBillyJeff, which Colbert had created for the former President (it’s now set to private).

Besides following Colbert, his feed includes his daughter, @ChelseaClinton, his various policy institutions like the Clinton Global Initiative and young leaders network @CGIU, and @HealthierGen, co-founded by Clinton to combat childhood obesity.
