I think they missed the funniest Hader character of all.  The "not an " alien sportscaster. The first time they did it was when the Rock was hosting.

Hader's Keith Morrison is hilarious, but only if you think Keith Morrison is worthy of being parodied. Same goes for James Carville or Clint Eastwood. And SNL is only funny when the host is funny, or when Tina Fey is playing Sarah Palin. And realistically, what do even the most entertaining SNL caste members do after leaving? Make a movie and then disappear. It's not like being an SNL caste member usually leads to a bigger career. Even taking over the Tonight Show isn't that big of a deal...except Fallon will get a big paycheck until he's thrown out. The only SNL caste member who ever really made something out of himself has been Bill Murray. Bobbie Moynihan is ready to take over for Bill.

Are you kidding???  Dan Akroyd, John Belushi, Chris, Rock, Eddie Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., David Spade, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Molly Shannon, Abby Elliot, Kristen Wiig, Sarah Silverman, Dana Carvey, Mike Meyers, Andy Samburg, Martin Short, Gilda Radner......just to name a few.....SNL is a stepping stone.  And it's CAST!  NO "e"    Taking over the Tonight show isn't that big of a deal??  You're insane.  Hader is ready to move on to the big screen and I wish him well.  It is his time.  However SNL will miss him as it will miss Sudeikis and Seth Meyers.  But, it will be filled with new talent and it will go on as it always does.  But don't ever misunderstand, SNL is a stepping stone for up and coming comedians and comedic actors to move ahead.

This is indeed some of the best Bill Hader sketches of his time on SNL. He was indeed a legend on the show and one of the funniest comedians, in my book so it’s sad to hear he’s leaving. I’m always at work at DISH when this comes on but I never miss it. I recorded several Bill Hader seasons on my DISH Hopper which can record and store up to 2,000 hours of entertainment. Because of this I can keep all of my favorite episodes without having to delete anything else to make room.
