Portland Police Traffic Officer Mark James was on the prowl when he happened to spot a speeding offender going 52 mph in a 35 mph zone.
The video, which shows James’ view from his “dash cam,” shows his car taking off in hot pursuit to nab the vehicle — only to be conveniently interrupted by a family of ducks wandering aimlessly in the middle of the street. In a gallant display of kindness, James stopped the car to escort the small family of ducks safely to the side of the street.

Needless to say, the speeding car got away.
