Here’s a simple formula for getting your 15 minutes of viral fame:

1) Work at a popular fast food restaurant.

2) Have a co-worker snap a photo of you doing something gross on the job, preferably involving one or more food items.

3) Sit back and let the Internet do the rest of the work, spreading that photo across the web.

That’s what a Wendy’s employee did this week, following in the footsteps of a Taco Bell employee who caused an uproar earlier this month after a photo surfaced of him licking a stack of taco shells. The latest fast food prankster — a copycat, perhaps? — posed crouching beneath a Frosty machine, eating the soft serve directly from the nozzle.

Naturally, the Taco Bell employee was fired soon after the photo made its rounds, and it seems the Wendy’s employee has realized a similar fate. The photo initially appeared on Reddit when a user posted it with the comment, “I was going to buy a frosty from Wendys until I saw the employee do this.” The company soon caught wind of it, and has responded to the incident via Twitter:

In light of this unsettling sight, the folks over at ABC News rounded up the top 8 grossest fast food moments, beginning with these two latest examples. Warning: this is pretty disturbing. If you’re reading this while munching on a snack, you might want to save it for later.
