This chicken burrito is a part of the new "Power Protein" menu.

Don’t call it meat — it’s “protein.”

Taco Bell plans to start testing a new “Power Protein Menu” featuring double portions of steak and chicken in forty Dayton, Ohio outlets starting July 25. Each of the new burritos and bowls will have more than 20 grams of protein and less than 450 calories. They will cost between $3.59 and $5.19.

“Our customer tastes and needs are evolving,” Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed told USA Today. “They want more balanced options. ” In April, the fast food chain also revealed plans to revamp its menu so that 20 percent of its combo meals would contain no more than one-third of the FDA’s daily recommended daily intake of calories, fat and sodium by 2020.

The move comes three months after a public relations disaster in March when traces of horse meat were found in the beef at several Taco Bell locations in the United Kingdom. (It was determined that no U.S. beef was affected.) In May, the chain introduced a waffle taco with a sausage patty and scrambled eggs folded into a waffle.

and at the end of the day this is still taco bell so the "protein" is probably barely edible.  you go to taco bell for the convenience and taste, not the health aspect

@cjh2nd I NEVER go to Taco Bell for the "taste". And, the next hour you spend on the toilet is not very convenient. I never go to Taco Bell at all.
