While most major companies are creating a wide berth between their brand and the humbled celebrity chef, one travel agency isn’t jumping ship quite yet — in fact, it’s getting ready to book reservations for fans who want to join Paula Deen on one.

Alice Travel, which handles cruises in which the celebrity sets sail with passengers, told ABC News that it will add a second cruise featuring Deen in July 2014. This will be the first time that there will be two Paula Deen cruises featured in one year. Phyllis Loverdi, the vice president of Alice Travel, told ABC News that the agency has noticed an uptick in interest: “People are calling and saying they want to support her, even people who have never been on a cruise before. They’re saying they definitely want to go.”

The first cruise, held on Celebrity Cruises’ Reflection, departs on Jan. 18 from Miami on a seven-night itinerary through the Caribbean. The second cruise is being planned for July on Royal Caribbean, though no dates have been formalized. Loverdi expects that about 1,000 people will join Deen for the cruises next year.

Cynthia Martinez, a spokeswoman for Royal Caribbean, emphasized that no formal business partnership with the cruise-ship operator has ever been reached with Deen. “She has sailed with our brands a couple of times, but as host of group cruises, and each time, the groups were booked through a specific travel agency, not through Royal Caribbean,” she told the Hollywood Reporter. The operator of the January cruise, Celebrity Cruises, emphasized the same sentiment.

Deen launched “Paula Deen Cuisine” cruises in 2009.

Good for Paula.  After losing millions of dollars in endorsements, she needs a couple of cruises to pad her wallet.

What retailers did was disgustingly un-American; they gangbanged her and push her off the cliff! Remember, Martha Stewart broke the law, was convicted and sent to prison! She didn’t lose any endorsements from anyone. Paula supposedly used the N word years and years ago and by mere allegations was sentence to the gallows!

EudoraWelty
EudoraWelty

@JosephSanchez What Martha Stewart did was against herself.  She did a crimnal act.   What Paula Deen did was verbally ridicule a race of people.  And apparently, you and she thinks it is  okay to use that word.

@JosephSanchez Much to my chagrin, what happened to Deen is very American these days -- but I agree that it's disgusting.

You know, racism is not isolated to a specific race.  That means, you do not have to be white to be a racist.  By looking at your comments, you are full of hate against "white people", therefore you are a racist yourself.

EudoraWelty
EudoraWelty

@MichaelFinley I agree you don't have to be white to be racist.  Racism comes in many different colors, but it is sad that it appeared on the face of a 66 year old white woman.

Well, we can be certain there won't be any "nigrahs" on the cruise, other than the ones serving whitey, of course.

Hopefully there won't be any pregnant women onboard, because "nigrahs" don't know nuthin' 'bout birthin' no babies!

Welcome to America, circa 1860!

@JAYnLA @uckermanfAnd I have done quite well for myself, thank you. It still doesn't excuse the pathetic nature of this woman, or the flood of "Oh, please don't judge Paula!" The sickening part of all of this is how when the perpetual existence of racism and its lingering effects are revealed to white America, the almost immediate response is "get over it." When it gets thrown back in their faces, they can't take it, but non-whites are supposed to just "get over it" as it happens day in and day out. Hypocritical to the max! Maybe non-whites would be able to "get over it" if certain people would get a clue and learn to keep their racist traps shut so as to not keep reopening the wounds.

But I realize that is too much to ask for. Certain people just can't help themselves. When something that ugly is in your blood, there is no getting it out.

@AnotherOne @uckermanf @JAYnLA  AnotherOne gold84 So, is "racist" a code word for "Pro-white?" What exactly is the point you are trying to make. I don't agree with gold84's comment one bit...I know plenty of white people who are not racist. Unfortunately, there are a lot who are, and there seem to be even more who wish to defend the behavior and claim that there is nothing wrong with it or that others should just "get over it." If that is the case, then you shouldn't be surprised that some people who are fed up with this nonsense would call for "white genocide." Rather than defending racism, why don't you defend civility? Would that not be a stronger moral and ethical position? Or are you so disgusted by PC (which is nothing more that being respectful of others) that you can't fathom the idea of telling a racist a$$h@t that they need to be quiet?

@uckermanf Another racist remark.  Paula Dean may be a racist.  I am not, nor ever have been a Paula Dean fan.  But your comments indicates "whitey" is the cause of all the problems in the world.  Look at yourself before you judge others.  Evidently you have a problem with white people.  Paula Dean does not represent all white people so get over it.

uckermanf
uckermanf like.author.displayName 1 Like

@MichaelFinley @uckermanf I did look at myself before judging Paula Deen. Want to know what I saw? A guy who has never said anything untoward to any white person in regards to their race. You Deen supporters want to believe that there are no such people in the world, but you are very wrong. It's the lie you tell yourselves to make it seem as if you aren't rotten. But it is a lie.

My comment was an indication of nothing other than Paula Deen sickens me, and she needs to go away and THINK about her true feelings in regards to race.

Deen doesn't represent all white people, but it sure seems that a lot of white people are defending her. Perhaps it would look better if they didn't do that. Just a thought.

Really, folks, does anybody care? Don't we have larger/real problems to deal with? Paula has been crucified for telling the truth under oath......we can't even get IRS bureaucrats to do that! All the "holier than thou" folks seem to have come out of the woodwork to jump on the beat up Paula bandwagon. By the end of the year Sears (if they are still in business), Target, and JC Penney will quietly restock her merchandise having taken the moral highroad for the free publicity. The only thing missing from this media hootenanny is the President delivering a misty eyed statement from the Rose Garden. Did anyone see Dijango Unchained? How many of you believe it was filmed on Paula Deen's plantation?

@WilliamPrescott A sin?  This is not a sin.  It is a racial slur that was meant to tear down a race of people.  If she was not racist, why would she want to dress middle age black men like slaves to be servers at a party.  Come on now!  She is still living in the days of segregation and apparently you are too.

@WilliamPrescott This is not about "he who is without sin". That little quote is the ajax or comet for bigots to cleanse.  But Deen, her son and her brothers are bigots, big time.  What I or others have "sinned" has no bearing on that fact.

I have heard blacks over and over use the “N” word to each other. If it’s so offensive than band it from TV comedy channel. Why a should a person’s life be turned upside down because of a comment made in the past? Just look back at the OJ Simpson trial the “N” word made history along with making a few people rich. Come on people relax and live.

Let me ask you this question, would you be offended if someone called you a cracker and if so do you watch the comedy channel or TV for that fact? People just want to stir the pot and express an opinion that knows nothing or has anything better to do. I have black friends and white friends, I hear the black sometimes make joking slurs along with the white ones. Should I run down to the courts and file a suit?

Come on growup!!!!!!
