First a video of a duck named Buttercup waddling around with a new 3D-printed foot went viral this week. Now a video of an occupational therapist’s new leg made out of LEGOs is building a buzz.
In this inspirational timelapse video, just when you think Christina Stephens, whose foot got amputated earlier this year, has given up, she starts putting her prosthesis back on and comes back with another box full of small blocks.
“Someone in my research lab jokingly suggested I make a prosthetic leg out of LEGOs,” the clinical researcher says on her YouTube channel AmputeeOT. “The joke’s on you – I went home and did it.”
