Personal computing must move toward counter attack upon surveillance.  Either digital respect for Privacy will occur or it will have to be forced to occur not by means of government but by private means.

“As government expands, liberty contracts.”

how do our children say "I am fed up with this"?  It will be way too late by then to stop it because everyone's actions will be tracable.

Looking ahead to the eventual establishment of an American Peoples' Republic -- let us extend our thanks in advance to the capitalists who have already made sure they  and their institutions will be totally extirpated.

Further confirmation of what I've been suspecting for years: Americans are becoming lazier, more apathetic and dumber by the decade. Hard to believe that this population was once the envy of the world, the source of most innovation, and the flagship for individual & collective freedom.

And for those who parrot the line about giving up freedom for security: I'm willing to bet that the country with the most security from terrorist attack is North Korea. Sleep serenely & securely on that tonight.

You hear that, Russian spear phishers? You've been going around it all wrong. Set up a website, do a cluster analysis of email addresses and present it as a colorful graph, and people will _queue_ to give you access to their accounts.

@Denesius was it Benjamin Franklin who said that ...in so many words.... those that would give up liberty for a bit of security deserve neither liberty nor security.

well...something like that, but the idea remains the same
