Bear hot on your heels? NBC affiliate WJAR sent Julie Tremmel, a local Rhode Island reporter, into a clear, dark field with a cameraman to demonstrate exactly what you should do if you ever encounter a bear. With aplomb, Tremmel enthusiastically demonstrates a few survival tips such as avoiding direct eye contact and backing off slowly to discourage the animal. We’re still not exactly sure what transpired when they decided to film the segment, but the resulting video will surely give you a chuckle.
