A strawberry Pop-Tart with vanilla ice cream is now available nationwide at Carl's Jr.

In what’s shaping up to be the most decadent summer ever for fast-food novelties, Carl’s Jr. has just released its Strawberry Pop-Tart Ice Cream Sandwich nationwide. First tested in Orange County this spring, the treat consists of a scoop of vanilla ice cream wedged between two halves of a frosted strawberry Pop-Tart. The reportedly scrumptious sandwich is a relatively modest 320 calories with 100 of them coming from fat.

When word first leaked about the treat in April, its rumored deliciousness captured the imagination of Pop-Tart lovers around the country. Even talk show host Jimmy Kimmel gave the ice cream sandwich some free advertising when he quipped, “Is Carl’s Jr. reading my dream journal?” But few people could actually try the item out for themselves since it was only being tested in a handful of California stores. As of Wednesday, however, the $1.49 breakfast-dessert item became available in all 1,131 of the burger chain’s restaurants in 15 states across the U.S. You can find the nearest one here.
