On Wednesday, singer Mariah Carey tweeted a photo of herself sitting on the floor with her arm in a sling, surrounded by puppies. The pop star dislocated her shoulder on July 7 while making a video, a remix of her song “#Beautiful,” directed by her husband Nick Cannon. Ever since the mishap, she has been keeping fans posted about her recovery online, even uploading a YouTube video from her hospital bed.

Here are five other celebrities who have also been especially vocal about their injuries on social media.

Lady Gaga: Knockout Onstage

The “Born This Way” singer got whacked in the head as a fellow dancer was moving away a metal set piece during a performance of “Judas” at a show in New Zealand. She reportedly staggered off stage and emerged shortly after, performing 16 more songs before stopping. She told the audience that she suffered a concussion and shared a photo of the bump on her head, bruise on her left check, and a black eye.

Anderson Cooper: Blinded By The Light

On a Dec. 4, 2012, episode of Anderson Cooper Live, the “Silver Fox” revealed that he got a sunburn in his eye after spending an extensive amount of time in the water without wearing sunglasses during a reporting trip in Portugal. He woke up in the middle of the night feeling like his eyes were “on fire” and ended up going blind for 36 hours.

Lindsey Vonn: Ski Race Accident

The champion skier tore both her ACL and her MCL in her right knee during the Alpine Ski World Championships in Austria this past February. She joked on Instagram, “#longskirtsthissummer #ugh.”

Kobe Bryant: Achilles Tendon Tear

The LA Lakers player tore his Achilles tendon in April and was one of the first celebrities to use Instagram’s video feature when it debuted in June 2013. The clip documents him “walkin like a baby giraffe” in his first attempt to move around without a boot.
