Over the weekend, Lady Gaga posted a creepy selfie with a face mask, comparing it to the Maison Martin Margiela face mask she sported last week. The image boasts more than 100,000 likes and 3,000 comments on the social network, but it’s not the only photo of a masked celebrity to go viral. Here are 6 other recent examples:
This photo of Madonna in a chainmail mask entitled “The Revolution of Love is on…Inshallah” was posted this past July and reportedly taken around the same time she was doing a photo shoot for Harper’s Bazaar. The Daily Mail reported the image drew mixed reactions on Twitter, as some interpreted the musician’s picture as a “message of female empowerment,” while others saw it as “a criticism of the oppression of women in some Islamic countries.”
“Feeling like a sabertooth ti.ger,” Ke$ha boasted, quoting a lyric from her hit song “C’MON” in this July snap. Past concerts have also featured scantily-clad men in tiger masks.
