Over the weekend, Lady Gaga posted a creepy selfie with a face mask, comparing it to the Maison Martin Margiela face mask she sported last week. This photo of Madonna in a chainmail mask entitled “The Revolution of Love is on…Inshallah” was posted this past July and reportedly taken around the same time she was doing a photo shoot for Harper’s Bazaar. The Daily Mail reported the image drew mixed reactions on Twitter, as some interpreted the musician’s picture as a “message of female empowerment,” while others saw it as “a criticism of the oppression of women in some Islamic countries.”
