West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, West Virginia is the biggest party school in the U.S., according to Playboy’s 2013 ranking of America’s top party schools. It dethrones the University of Virginia, which topped the magazine’s 2012 edition. In a news release, the adult entertainment magazine says it compiled the rankings based on data from the National Center for Education Statistics, the NCAA, the U.S. Census Bureau’s Economic Census  and input from Playboy fans on social media.

Located just south of the western Pennsylvania border, WVU has long been a regular fixture on party-school rankings. In 2012, it topped lists compiled by Newsweek and Princeton Review. The college town of Morgantown (population: 31,000) boasts an A+ rating in College Prowler’s Nightlife category, largely because students say there’s a party to go to every night of the week. Bars in the city have been known to stay open as late as 3:30 a.m, and nightclubs have been known to let in anyone over 18. Mountaineers fans have started so many fires in the streets and in trash cans —  the all-time record being 274 in 2003 — that last fall, the mayor proposed a $20 tuition fee to pay city police and firefighters.

Here’s Playboy’s full list, which appears in the October 2013 college issue:
