New license plates featuring the Superman insignia were unveiled Monday outside the Glenville, Ohio, home where the comic book character was created in the 1930s.

Proponents of the new plates read from a letter written by the Laura Siegel Larson, daughter of Jerry Siegel, who invented the Superman character with co-creator Joe Shuster.

“I can just imagine them driving around Cleveland and excitedly pointing out the plates as they spotted them,” she wrote in the letter, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Motorists buying Superman plates will have to pay an extra $20 fee, and sadly, if you want to make your car faster than a speeding bullet and you live outside of Ohio you’re out of luck; the plates are only available to Ohio residents.
