"I love porn"

The number of Americans who watch pornography on the Internet has nearly doubled since 2007, according to a new survey released Thursday by the Pew Research Center.

In 2013, 12 percent of American adults reported to watching porn on the Internet, twice as many as reported doing so in 2006. 25 percent of men copped to watching porn, while only 8 percent of women admitted to it.

Those are pretty low numbers considering the ubiquity of the genre. Pew does note that its own numbers probably underestimate the real total of online porn-watching Americans due to a possible “reluctance to report the behavior among some adults.”

What behavior? We’ve never even heard of porn…

Probably because of how Pew phrased the question. Example:

"Do you watch porn on the internet?" (implying all the time)

versus

"Have you ever watched porn on the internet?"

It demonstrates how easy it is for liberal activist news journalists to get any result they want by simply having the polling firm ask the question in just the right way. A very important point to keep in mind when polls are used in government and policy making decisions like deficit spending, condition of the economy, "homosexual marriage", etc.

Unless the internet is 75% women your numbers don't work.  What I mean:  75% * 8% + 25% * 25% = 12%.

"do you watch porn on the internet" in no way implies that you watch it constantly and only an idiot would take it as such. of course you can't watch porn 24/7. highly doubt anyone actually thought that's what it meant. all that implies is that you watch porn on the internet. not all the time. just that you watch it. no more, no less
