Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ short-lived fairytale has reached its bitter end, again.

On Tuesday, the reality star’s 20-carat diamond engagement ring was auctioned off at Christie’s in New York for $620,000, US Weekly reports. The anonymous online buyer will pay a total of $749,000 for the bling, including auction fees.

Humphries, who was married to Kardashian for a mere 72 days in 2011 before she filed for divorce, reportedly sold the ring, though Christie’s would not disclose his name. The proceeds of the sale will be donated to a charity, though one has not been named.

The ring, which was designed by family friend Lorraine Schwartz, holds a whopping 16.21-carat center diamond with 1.8-carat diamonds on each side.

Hopefully the new owner’s love story will have a happier ending.
