Sure, why not.

If you thought we already reached Peak Hacker, think again: the hacktivist collective Anonymous is set to hit the stage at Boston University Dance Theater in a ballet production called HackPolitik. Like, actually.

HackPolitik’s primary character is a botnet operator named Civil who was a key player in the 2010 DDoS attacks against Mastercard and Paypal that were dubbed #OpPayback. The performance, which is a collaboration between music ensemble Juventas and People Movers Dance, is “a surrealist exploration, through music and dance, of how the internet has affected discourse in the 21st century, blurring the lines between activism and anarchy.”

Wonder if all the ticket holders will be doxxed as part of the performance.

Civil is not the main character in the ballet- Civil's photo was just released this week as a part of our marketing campaign; The Jester's the week before, and Topiary's the week before that. The ballet features several different characters involved in Anonymous and Lulzsec between 2010 and 2012.
