Hey, want to hear a riddle? If you get it wrong, you have to make a giraffe your Facebook profile picture for three days according to arbitrary rules most likely concocted by the same people who send your grandparents chain email.

The Great Giraffe Challenge, promoted by New Zealand YouTuber Andrew Strungell, is a game currently going viral on Facebook that proposes the following riddle:

3:00 am, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Unexpected visitors, It’s your parents and they are there for breakfast. You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese. What is the first thing you open?

People who want to play along are supposed to message their answers to Strungell so that they don’t give it away online, according to an Oct. 26 Facebook post. The Chicago Tribune says “your eyes” is also an “acceptable” answer, although as one of the paper’s Facebook commenters points out, “Truth be told though, if you were smart and looked to see who it was first, upon realizing it was your parents you’d probably open the wine first.”

Oh, that answer: “the door.” If you didn’t guess that, then go ahead and follow the Facebook horde to giraffe profile pic land.
