Now this is a story all about how David Hasselhoff’s life got flipped, turned upside down and we’d like to take a minute — just sit right there! — and we’ll tell you how David Hasselhoff became the prince of a town called Bel Air.

In an excellent new supercut video by Matthijs Vlot, David Hasselhoff, the star of Baywatch and Knight Rider, sings the theme song of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the television show that made Will Smith a household name. Vlot is the Dutch mashup artist behind such internet sensations as the seminal “Hello” or the disarmingly brilliant Lance-Armstrong-sings-Radiohead video.

To create the video, Vlot poured through hours of ’80s and ’90s television to divine the moments where Hasselhoff spoke the words that made up the lyrics to the Fresh Prince theme song. The moments were strung together and another internet masterpiece was made.
