There are famous Internet animals, and then there is Grumpy Cat. The one-year-old feline, whose perpetually frowning face turned her into a massive online sensation over the past year, officially became a one-cat empire when she graced the cover of New York magazine’s “Boom Brands” issue in October. The world learned that the estimated value of the Grumpy Cat brand — which includes a coffee line, a New York Times-bestselling book and even a movie deal — is worth an estimated $1 million. The lesson from all this, according to New York magazine? Invest in cats.
Lentil, found on fb as My Name is Lentil, should have been on this list. He was born in February with a cleft lip and palate. He not only survived, but has become an "ambassadog" to thousands of children and adults affected by facial differences.
I love Grumpy Cat. She reminds me of a snowshoe (wonderful breed) that I recently lost.
I miss you Pinky. Such a sweet cat.
Let's see here, during the government shutdown, they turned off an internet camera that probably costs $.50 a day to operate but flew the Obama's dog (left behind by accident) on a private flight to meet the family on vacation. I wonder how much that cost?
