Love rap music, but hate all the misogyny and objectification that goes along with it? Then say hello to what is sure to be your favorite new Tumblr: Respectful Rappers. It takes your favorite hip hop songs and rewrites their lyrics to be those more suitable for a gender studies major.

“To be clear, we love rap,” the blog’s creators told BuzzFeed. “But maybe it’s time to stop demeaning gay people and calling women ‘bitches.’ Just a suggestion. We don’t really know how Tumblr works, but people seem to like our idea. Also, Kanye West won’t stop leaving us angry voicemails.”

The results are pretty hilarious. See some of our favorites below, and check out the rest on Tumblr.

Song: “Dance (A$$)” by Big Sean

Polite lyric: “Personality, personality, personality, personality.”

Original: “Ass, ass, ass, ass, ass.”

Song: “I Am a God” by Kanye West

Polite lyric: “Feel free to take your time with my croissants / I’m not in a huge rush and you look pretty swamped”

Original: “Hurry up with my damn croissants.”

Song: “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta F’ Wit” by Wu-Tang Clan

Polite lyric: “Please do not fool around with us; it is hurtful, and we may overreact”

Original: “And if you want beef, then bring the ruckus / Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nuttin ta f–k wit.”
