Alvin Schwartz’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, the book series that made you pee the bed as a child, is headed to the big screen, according to Deadline.

Culled from folklore and packaged into a slim collection of horror stories somehow marketed to children, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is one of those things you forget exists until its terrifying illustrations crop up on BuzzFeed. (We’re still not over the story of the creepy little girl whose head is held on only by a RIBBON.)

Deadline reports that the script will be written by two of the writers behind Saw, so it shouldn’t be scary at all (gulp). The film interpretation will use stories from the books as jumping off points to tell the tale of a group of kids who save their town from living nightmares.

Whatever, nothing can be as scary as Grown Ups 2.
