Our Santa that does our yearly school event is amazing. He is there only for the kids. Before each child sits on his lap they have to know how to give a Santa hug. This goes for big or small, kids or adults. He is also huge. I mean huge. He says there is only one way to find out if someone is too old or has no Christmas spirit, only if Santa can not lift them into his arms. He lifts dads, moms and the biggest of kids. When children stand at the bottom of the stairs because they are not taking pictures with him or do not have money, he walks down the stairs and says to each one, "Where have you been? I've been waiting for you!" He will sit and talk to them as long as it takes. He will also tell the photo people to just charge him if they want a picture. He is magical. This year a grandmother came with her daughter and her two children. The grandmother was going through cancer treatment. Our Santa made her give a Santa hug and he sat her on his lap. He asked her what she wanted for Christmas. She told him, "I want all of my family with me." He told her that they already are. That they have the best of her in them and they are always with her. The look she gave him was priceless. She then asked him what he wanted for Christmas? He told her, "To be sitting her with her right now. I can't imagine anything better." He did this and touched everyone all afternoon. When kids ask "the questions", how, when, where, why, Rudolph, and the many other questions, his answers are amazing. For those who say there is no Santa? There is. He is real. He loves unconditionally. And...he is from Clovis, California. He is Santa. The best Santa.

It's so sad.  I remember fondly my times on Santa's lap.  These days, they are just phoning it in.  It's really not worth it anymore.  They don't provide excitement or the wonderment of Christmas for our kids any more.

I have known Santa Thomas Tolbert for 34 years. He has always been a wonderful caring person with a heart of gold. It's no wonder that he is Santa Claus. I am very blessed to know him.

I had the pleasure of working with Santa Scott (slide #5) on several children's events. His smile is contagious! He's kind, generous and the most jovial Santa I've ever met. Way to go, Santa Scott! All your hard work is finally paying off.

Does Jonathan Meath, as Santa, swim in his full Santa suit? Or does he have a special Santa swimsuit? Is there a video of him sliding down the ice sculpture?
