A man dressed in a Santa costume was struck in his upper back Tuesday with a pellet that Washington, D.C. police say was shot from a building across the street, WJLA reports. The man wanted to continue distributing gifts, but paramedics insisted he go to the hospital.
A man in a Grinch costume stepped in to give the presents while Santa went to get his shoulder checked out — and his heart grew three sizes that day.
Doctors say the Santa-clad man should be fine to continue his Christmas duties.
