A gluten-free, chocolate-chip shortbread Girl Scout cookie is being tested in select parts of the country this year to cater to troop members and their friends and family who may have a gluten intolerance.

Twenty Girl Scout councils have chosen to offer the treat, which boasts “real chocolate chips and real butter” and “no artificial flavors, no artificial colors, no high fructose corn syrup, no palm oil, and no hydrogenated oils,” according to the website for ABC Bakers, which makes Girl Scout cookies. Here is a list of participating Girl Scout organizations.

The new flavor, which contains 130 calories per four bite-sized cookies, could potentially be a hit. The shortbread variety, also known as trefoils, is one of the top 5 best-selling Girl Scout cookies, with 18 million boxes sold last year, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The new cookies have received some positive feedback so far, with some celiac disease sufferers telling the Los Angeles Times that they can’t tell the difference between the gluten-free and regular version of these cookies.

Also new to the Girl Scout cookie lineup (though not gluten-free) is a whole-grain “Cranberry Citrus Crisps” variety. Sounds delicious, but Thin Mints will always be our fav.
