The Mexican state of Sonora just banned parents from naming their children 61 names—and one of them is Facebook.
Since government officials can only ban names that have been found in official registries, this means that there’s some kid named Facebook crawling around and poking people. ”The law is very clear because it prohibits giving children names that are derogatory or that don’t have any meaning and that can lead to bullying,” Sonora state Civil Registry director Cristina Ramirez said Tuesday, the Associated Press reports.
At least little Facebook can find comfort in the fact that there’s at least one kid in Sonora with a worse name than his. Officials also banned the name “Circumcision.”
