Olympic star Shawn Johnson has eight – eight! – gold and three silver medals, all earned in gymnastics. But here is proof she’s not a multi-sport athlete. After being asked to throw out the first pitch at a Triple-A Iowa Cubs game, Shawn Johnson bounced (or better yet, rolled) one the ball in. It’s 60 feet, six inches from the pitcher’s mound to home plate. Johnson makes it about 15.
Perhaps we can forgive her. Johnson announced May 4 that she’s trained to return to the Olympics, hosted in London in 2012. We’ll just assume she was preoccupied.
