What a difference four years makes.
In 2006, despite having no English Premier League experience, then-17-year-old Theo Walcott made Britain’s 2006 World Cup squad. On Tuesday, ESPN reports that manager Fabio Capello left Walcott of 2010’s 23-man roster.
“I am very disappointed not to be included but completely respect Mr Capello’s decision,” Walcott told ESPN. “I would like to wish the team best of luck.”

– Made his professional debut at age 16 for Southampton, becoming the team’s youngest player in history
