More surprisingly, the 73-year-old U.S. Senator started the exchange. MTV reports that after McCain saw Snooki complain about tanning-bed taxes on a teaser for the Jersey Shore, he reached out to the leathered reality star via Twitter:
“@Sn00ki u r right, I would never tax your tanning bed! Pres Obama’s tax/spend policy is quite The Situation. but I do rec wearing sunscreen!” McCain said.
Do we detect the ghost-tweeting hand of (much younger) daughter Meghan McCain? Regardless, the senator didn’t get much of a response back. All Snooki could muster: “Haha yes!!”
