Oscar the cat gets to walk again, thanks to a revolutionary new surgery.

In the first operation of its kind, veterinary surgeons in Surrey, U.K., restored the cat’s ability to walk by grafting on artificial limbs. The technology encourages bone and skin to grow over the metal after the prosthetics are fitted into the amputation site.

Oscar was lazing in the sun last October when his legs were severed by a combine harvester. He can now walk and run like normal after less than four months in recovery. The technology will be tested on humans shortly. Watch the video via BBC.
