After eating 54 hot dogs in 10 minutes, Joey Chestnut took home his fourth consecutive prize at the Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, New York. But his time in the spotlight was cut short.

After the competition ended, Chestnut’s rival Takeru Kobayashi crashed the stage. Police grabbed him, arrested him and charged him for resisting arrest, trespassing and obstructing governmental administration.

Kobayashi did not participate in the contest this year due to a contract dispute with Major League Eating. He refused to sign with them because he wanted to be open to compete in other, non-league-sponsored events. Dubbed “The Tsunami,” he has previously won six hot dog eating competitions.

The Associated Press has video of Kobayashi’s  arrest, which you can watch above. See if you can make out his “Free Kobi” T-shirt.
