Seth Meyers, who has worked at 'Saturday Night Live' since 2001, has been chosen to replace Jimmy Fallon on 'Late Night'
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees may have taken home the most awards at last night’s ESPY awards, but everyone was talking about LeBron James.
“Did it really need to be an hour?” Saturday Night Live‘s Seth Meyers, the night’s host, said of James’s ESPN special where he announced he would play for the Miami Heat. “Somebody time me. Miami. How long did that take? A second.” He also offered some comfort to Cavaliers fans, noting, “Literally every team that has ever won an NBA championship has done it without LeBron James.”
Even Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell chimed in, filming a parody of James’ one-hour ESPN special. But this time, the stakes of “the decision” involved ditching Chili’s for Outback Steakhouse.

James jokes aside, the night’s winners were Brees, who took home four trophies, and soccer star Landon Donovan, who received three. George Karl, coach of the Denver Nuggets, earned the Arthur Ashe Courage Award after battling neck and throat cancer.
Phil Mickelson won the prize for best male golfer, denying Tiger Woods’ chance to win his 23rd ESPY. Woods was second to James in the jokes department, though. “We all know which free agent is making the most money this summer — [Woods’s wife] Elin Nordegren,” Meyers joked.
