It may have taken two years, but 17-year-old Steven Ortiz alleges he was able to swap a cell phone for a Porsche. This kid definitely has a future in business. (via Jalopnik)
Searching Craigslist’s “barter” section for a beneficial trade, Ortiz traded up on an old cell phone a friend had given him, gaining a better phone. He then repeated the process again and again, each time getting a more valuable item.
Among the things he has traded are a MacBook Pro, an off-road golf cart, and a Toyota 4Runner. Ortiz’s 14th trade was a 1975 Ford Bronco for a 2000 Porsche Boxster with an asking price of $9000.
Although he’s already landed himself a pretty sweet deal (I mean, how many high school students drive a Porsche?) he says he’s still not done. He’s aiming for a Cadillac Escalade.
