Just how many people are being hounded by credit card companies these days? Enough that “888 5 optout”–the number to dial if you want to opt out of pre-approved credit card offers–is one of Google’s biggest search terms today.
Everyone hates being harassed by junk mail and telemarketers and credit card offers can be the worst of the lot. But according to the Federal Trade Commission, getting out of being solicited by these companies is as easy as dialing 1- 888 – 5- OPTOUT.
According to the website, with one call you’ll soon be living the sweet life. Or at least the life without constant pre-approved credit card offers.
