Oh, where to begin. A few days ago Democratic Senate nominee for South Carolina Alvin Greene wrote an op-ed in a British newspaper – a manifesto, if you will. And like most manifestos throughout history, it’s a rambling mess of pronouncements and promises:

A few excerpts:

“I’m unemployed, and, if elected, I can teach the Harvard rich kids in the White House and the senate a thing or two.”

“I will stop debt collectors from calling you. … You know how horrible it is to have those vampires calling you, again and again and again.”

“I will shut down payday lenders who are sucking you dry.”

Alright. Well, a rap video was also released recently entitled “Alvin Greene is on the Scene,” which says in its credits that it is directed, produced, edited and shot by Greene (with his Dad on second camera) and spliced with images of LeBron James dunking. Greene’s involvement, however, has been debunked. But again, some excerpts:

“He don’t show porno to college chicks.”

“He’s going to give lots of money to the schools and stuff.”

“He loves family and lives with his mom and dad.”

The latest is Greene dancing to the new rap in a live radio appearance earlier this week. So he seems to like it! For our sake, Alvin – keep it up.
